Fire a projectile horizontally from a cliff, at an angle from a cliff, or at an angle from level ground. The horizontal and vertical motions are independent: constant velocity across, constant acceleration g downwards. Air resistance is ignored.
Calculate before you fire. Answers within 2% count as correct.
Use them separately for each direction. Horizontally a = 0, so s = uxt. Vertically a = −g. Time t is the only quantity shared by both directions.
